Launch of groundbreaking CD-ROM announced
The Board of Deputies announces the launch of Jewish Way of Life, a groundbreaking interactive CD-ROM which explores Judaism in Britain today through its traditions and culture. This new resource for students and teachers, covering Jewish faith, practice and religion, is the first of its kind to be developed and distributed free-of-charge by a faith group to all schools across the UK.

Latest Pikuach report launched by Board of Deputies and United Jewish Israel Appeal
In November the Board of Deputies - in conjunction with the United Jewish Israel Appeal (UJIA) - launched its latest Pikuach report, a global assessment of the state of Jewish education in Britain based on data from ongoing inspections from Jewish schools throughout UK. The fourth evaluation since it was pioneered in 1996, this latest report shows that the Pikuach process is now being used by schools across the religious spectrum, from Progressive, to Pluralist to United Synagogue to Charedi, servicing almost three quarters of all Jewish schools in the UK.

Board has launched guide for Jewish adults with disabilities
The Board of Deputies launches its latest publication, A Guide for Jewish Adults with Disabilities. Part informational booklet and part classified directory, the 84-page publication is a 'one-stop' volume that is packed with essential information for the UK Jewish community. Fundamentally a practical compendium, the Guide is an introduction to the full array of voluntary organisations that offer cultural and religiously sensitive services to the British Jewish community.
