BOARD MEETS NEW CZECH AMBASSADOR

As part of its ongoing relationship building with Foreign Embassies, the Board of Deputies benefited from a constructive meeting with the new Czech Ambassador on Monday when the issues of Israel in the media, sanctions on Iran and anti-Semitism in Europe were discussed.

Previously the Ambassador to both Israel and the United States, the Czech Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Michael Zantovsky, affirmed his views regarding the dangerous threat of a nuclear Iran and the Czech government’s continued commitment to fight anti-Semitism and racism. The Board delegation was led by the Board’s International Division, Vice President Paul Edlin and included Division members, Alex Faiman and Ivan Sloboda.

Vice-President Paul Edlin commented, "a warm and friendly meeting provided an opportunity to introduce the work of the Board of Deputies to the Ambassador, a known, close friend of the Jewish community in Prague.”
