JFS SUPREME COURT - NO LEGISLATIVE CHANGE TO BE PURSUED

After extensive cross-communal consultation regarding the JFS Supreme Court Decision, a consensus has been reached that whilst legislative change is desirable it would not be advisable to push for an amendment in the limited time available. We need to first consider how the Supreme Court decision will impact on the community and secondly, all the possible consequences of the amendment. We wish to avoid a situation where we amend in haste and repent at leisure.
