For over 30 years, the Jewish Way of Life exhibition has been travelling throughout the UK, educating students and teachers about the Jewish religion and the history and practices of the Jewish people.
The exhibition is both informative and interactive.
The exhibition includes descriptive and beautifully illustrated six foot display panels, a chuppah (model wedding canopy) and a sukkah (a temporary shelter, used during the festival of Sukkot) as well as a model Torah and synagogue. Trained guides are on hand to assist visitors and worksheets are available to students.
Written by educators and designed by experts, JWOLE ensures that the teaching of Judaism fully supports all locally agreed syllabuses. The exhibition is a hands-on experience for all ages but is especially suitable for Key Stages 2 and 3.
The exhibition works best in public space: library, town hall, church to maximize its impact on the greater community.
The Board of Deputies recommends prospective teachers and schools wishing to host the exhibition work in tandem with the Local Education Authority and other local schools to raise community awareness and cover expenses.

To compliment the success of Jewish Way of Life Exhibition (JWOLE), the Board of Deputies is now producing 'JWOLE Light' - a set of eight beautifully illustrated, fully laminated A1 posters, designed to explain the basics of Judaism to a non-Jewish audience. Topics covered include Keeping Kosher, Shabbat and Jewish Values. If you would like a set of the posters or you know anybody else that might, they're available now from the Board's Education Department for just £25 including P&P.
