Pikuach is the inspection service for Jewish studies in Jewish schools. It was established in 1996, in order to meet the Government's requirements to ensure that religious education is systematically inspected under the framework set down by the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted).
It is supported financially by the Board of Deputies of British Jews, and the United Jewish Israel Appeal (UJIA). In addition, lay leaders and professionals from both the Board of Deputies and the UJIA sit on the Pikuach Management and Advisory Boards.
Inspection reports for individual schools are available here.
